While mainstream media often highlights only our vibrant dances and colorful traditions, it rarely shows who choreographs our every step from behind the curtain. This work questions that silence — asking: Are we truly dancing, or being made to dance?
As an Indigenous visual artist from Bangladesh, my practice is rooted in revealing the untold stories of my people — stories shaped by decades of displacement, surveillance, and cultural erasure. Through minimal motion and layered symbolism, these clips reflect the quiet resistance of a community whose identity is often aestheticized but rarely understood."
